REGISTERING FOR A NEW CARD


Adults Ages 14 and up: Proof of your mailing address.
Children Ages 3 - 13: Proof of your mailing address and parent or guardian signature.

REPLACING LOST/ DAMAGED CARDS

                                                                      $ 1.00 - first replacement
                                                                      $ 3.00 - additional replacements.

BORROWING PRIVILEGES

                                                              Books per card:             20 - 3 week checkout
                                                              Audios per card:              6 - 3 week checkout
                                                              Periodicals per card:       5 - 7 day checkout
                                                              Videos per family:           6 - 7 day checkout

FINES AND OVERDUES POLICY

                                                            Books/Audios:              $   .10/day per item
                                                            Periodicals:                   $   .25/day per item
                                                             Interlibrary Loans:       $   .25/day per item
                                                            Videos:                          $ 1.00/day per item

SPECIAL SERVICES

Internet Access

Free Internet access is available to those individuals living in the service area who have a library card and review and sign a Conditions of Use.  The library card must be presented each time Internet access is requested.  A parent or guardian signature is required for Internet users under the age of 18.  Users are allowed 60 minutes unless there are available computers.  Printing is $  .25 per page.  Non-residents may purchase Internet time:  $3.00 per half hour (30 minutes) and $5.00 per hour (60 minutes).

Additional Computer Services

In addition to the Internet, the library offers Microsoft Word 97, Excel, and Power Point.
 

Information Databases

Page Public Library has made available two information databases accessed via the Internet.  Databases are available only at the library at this time.

Galenet offers six database units: DISCovering... Most Studies Authors; Biography; DISCovering U.S. History; World History; Science; and Exploring Poetry.

Infotrac Searchbank is a database of close to 550 scholarly and general interest journals, covering current events, economics, history, psychology, humanities, religion, education, literature & art, sociology, political science and more.  Citations are full text or abstracted, depending on the publication.

Ask at the Reference Desk to obtain access to additional online databases.
