The Information Technology Division provides IT assistance in the form of software and hardware support, network maintenance and administration, e-mail and internet access, web service, personnel training, data base design and support, IT component purchasing and consulting, telecommunications support, and other communications and computer services to all City Departments and ensures the maintenance of a modern technological working environment, one that helps to provide fast, efficient service to the customers of the City of Page. This is accomplished by providing cost and labor saving solutions to technological problems through innovative ideas and the installation of efficient, compatible hardware and software to implement these ideas.
The Information Technology Division was organized in July of 1998. Currently the IT Division maintains numerous workstations and servers throughout the City. The City network inter-connects the Pubic Safety Department, City Hall/City Administration, Public Works, Fire Department, Library, Sports Complex, Youth Center, and the Lake Powell Mobile Home Village. Some of the accomplishments and projects of the IT Division include: connected internet access to most City Departments, the infrastructure for a City-wide (hardware and software compatible) computer network, and an established maintenance program which tracks and upgrades computer hardware and software resulting in higher efficiency and cost and operational savings to the City. The IT Division is also responsible for Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS dispatch systems and telecommunications. The IT Division constantly strives to provide solutions that help streamline City operations with the end goal of providing better services to the citizens of Page.
