DUTY DESCRIPTION This position will be responsible for year-round children’s library programs and activities relating to them. Under general guidance assesses, selects, processes, and catalogs library materials suitable for children.  Provides reference services to children and teachers.  Also responsible for checking in and out materials in the Children’s Library when on duty.  Will have heavy public contact working with children and their parents.  Handles technical work involving the circulation desk in the Children’s area.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35-40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

DUTY QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: 1-2 years of previous experience in working with children in a school or library setting. Experience working with bibliographies of children’s literature. Every 2 years of college may be substituted for 1 year  of experience.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Knowledge of child development and children’s library programs, services, techniques and principles. Skilled in office procedures.

Typing skills of at least 45 wpm. Ability to interact with children and parents courteously and effectively.Computer knowledge of Solutions Library Circulation System, including the PAC’s.  Possesses very good writing skills and verbalcommunication ability. Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with patrons and with all employees in the organization. Ability to use listed tools and equipment. Ability to follow standard office environment safety requirements. Possesses creative storytelling skills and knowledge of children’s books and literature.

DUTY DESCRIPTION Performs considerably difficult work in the performance of skilled emergency medical services, fire suppression, and fire prevention duties.  Maintains and cares for all medical/fire vehicles and various other equipment used by Page Fire Department. This position provides first line response to emergency medical and fire suppression situations.  Provides pre-hospital treatment, transportation of the sick and injured to an appropriate medical facility, and completes appropriate medical documentation of the incident. Conducts company inspections, pre-plans, and various equipment maintenance programs, and completes appropriate documentation. Maintains the station, vehicles, and emergency medical equipment and supplies in excellent operational condition.  Conducts inventory of supplies on vehicles and re-stocks as needed.

Position requires ability to function under a wide variety of environmental, geographical and weather conditions.  Incumbent will be exposed to emergency conditions related to heat, chemicals, cold and other toxic environments.   Individual must have full range of mobility, hearing and vision, capable of working under adverse conditions for prolonged periods of time with high levels of mental and emotional stress.  Working environment requires climbing and entrance into confined spaces.

DUTY QUALIFICATIONS Must have one (1) year in the fire service .Completion of the Arizona Fire Fighter I & II requirements or a similar course as approved by the Fire Chief and completion of the ADHS Hazardous Materials First Responder course is mandatory prior to  employment. Must posses a minimum of at least an ADHS EMT certification prior to employment. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have completed the Arizona State FireFighter I & II requirements or equivalent course, Hazardous Materials First Responder, and completion of the ADHS approved EMT curriculum.  Must posses and maintain either an Arizona EMT, IEMT, or CEP certification. Must have adequate verbal and written skills in business English. Ability to operate two-way radio.

The City of Page is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Community Development Director.   The Community Development Director performs highly responsible administrative and supervisory work in planning, organizing, and directing the general operation of the Community Development Department, which includes planning, zoning, building inspection, permitting, tourism, code compliance, and the community and economic development functions of the City.

 

Requirements for qualified candidates are, a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economic Development or a closely related field.  Five years of increasingly responsible experience in public administration, planning, community development or code enforcement, including four years of administrative and management responsibility.  Preference given to candidates with a Master's Degree.

 

Starting salary range $74,500 to $80,000 depending on experience/qualifications.

DUTY DESCRIPTION

Coordinates major recreational programs, special events and activities for the residents of the city, visitors and guests. Responsible for coordination of adult and youth sports leagues, city wide special events, after school and recreation programs; to promote activities; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for management of all recreation facilities in order to provide clean and safe opportunities for sport and recreation and promote a healthy lifestyle for all community residents.

Considerable (2 or more years) experience in professional level year round recreation work, including programming and coordinating recreational activities, or experience in parks, recreation, or sports facility management and operations.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of principles and practices of recreation, cultural, social and leisure service program development.

Experience in budget development, procedures and administration. Extensive knowledge of techniques of organizing and direction recreation and leisure service programs and extensive knowledge of facilities and equipment needed in broad recreational programs .Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Business English. Basic training in work place and employee safety procedures. Ability to operate a standard passenger vehicle and occasionally four wheel drive light trucks for field activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with employees and other departments. Ability to use listed tools and equipment .Must be able to follow standard office environment safety requirements. Computer skills for data collection and analyzing, word processing and preparation of reports and programs. Be familiar with legislation, policies, procedures and rules about sport, recreation and cultural activities, events, and competition.
